The Rochester Police Department would like to make all residents aware of an emerging crime pattern in the southeast portion of the city. There has been a sharp spike in the number of burglaries during the past few weeks, particularly in PSA’s 29 (North Winton Village and Browncroft), 31 and 32. …
An arrest has been made in the recent burglaries in North Winton Village. The suspect was arrested in possession of stolen goods soon after robbing a local home.
Over the past week there have been multiple car break-ins on Mayfield St., Marsden Rd. and other neighborhood streets. The thefts have occurred in residents’ driveways and on the street in front of their homes. Some incidents have involved broken windows, and among the items stolen were iPods, cell phones, chargers, and laptops.
Please remember to lock your car doors, hide or remove valuable items, and report anything that looks suspicious to the police.
North Winton Village Safety Committee meetings will take place the last Thursday of the month. Rochester police have agreed to attend and present their weekly report to the community.
