City Newspaper runs a Best of Rochester poll each year. Most of those years I took a pass, reserving, of course, the right to be outraged at the results. In the summer of 2011, North Winton Village Association (NWVA) partnered with the City of Rochester Recreation and Youth Services to start a program called North Winton Village Healthy Summer.
Learn more about this successful program, how it helped neighborhood kids learn healthy eating and exercise habits, and what’s in store for summer 2012.

Chief Sheppard held a press conference October 11 to announce the third quarter Rochester Police Department statistics. He mentioned the problem with teenage break-ins in the Browncroft and North Winton Village neighborhoods, and is working with the Rochester City School District and Rochester Transit to address the issue.
