The City of Rochester is working with Highland Planning to gather community perspectives and input about two City-owned sites that were planned for new Rochester Police Department (RPD) Section Offices and Neighborhood Service Centers (NSCs) on Lake Avenue at Ridge Rd. and East Main Street near North Goodman St.   For more information about the history of these sites, you can read this document or watch this video, which contain high-level information on the history of these sites.    Since 2015, the City has invested significant time and resources in these sites, however, the events of 2020 prompted City Council to put the City’s redevelopment plans on hold. Today, the City is seeking community perspectives to inform how to move forward with these sites.   There are several ways for you to share your perspectives and input.   Survey: an online survey is available here.   Open-House Meetings: There will be two in-person public meetings, one for the Lake Ave site and one for the East Main site. These events will be held outdoors in an open-house format for COVID safety (with option to move indoors due to inclement weather). You can pre-register for the in person meetings at the links below:   EastMain Site Meeting, September 2nd 5:30pm-7:00pm Lake Ave Site Meeting, September 16th 5:30pm-7:00pm   Virtual Meetings: There will be two virtual public meetings as well, one for the Lake Ave site and one for the East Main site.
