PAC-TAC Training April 16, 2024
PAC-TAC training information from Rob Wilson with the City. RSVP by Monday, April 8 by emailing Robert.J.Wilson@CityofRochester.Gov
. . .
Since the last PAC-TAC training we held in September of 2023, I have received many requests for people wanting to be trained in walking PAC-TAC in their neighborhood. Well, as summer is around the corner, I hope to get all of those interested in PAC-TAC, formally trained. This training will allow you to walk safety in your neighborhood in pairs or small groups with the purpose of monitoring your surroundings and reporting any suspicious activity observed. The idea is that you know your neighborhood better than anyone. You know what is out of place and what has always been there. PAC-TAC helps the community stay on top of potential issues so they can be nipped in the bud.
On Tuesday April 16th @ 5:30 PM the Southeast Neighborhood Service Center (SE-NSC) Crime Prevention Officers (CPOS) will conduct this training. This will be held at the Public Safety Building (PSB), 185 Exchange Street, in the first floor Auditorium. This training should last between 1 to 1 ½ hours.
If you are a:
· City of Rochester resident who lives in the South East, and
· 21 or older, and
· would like to be trained to walk PAC-TAC.
Please respond to me at Robert.J.Wilson@CityofRochester.Gov. If you have been previously trained, then you do not need to attend this training.
