Development/Design Fund Program Grant Awarded to North Winton Village Association

Reprinted from RRCDC News:
The Rochester Regional Community Design Center is pleased to announce we have awarded a total of $20,000 in funding to three organizations through our Development/Design Fund Program. The program, still in its inaugural year, awards funding to non-profit 501c3 organizations to hire design professionals to complete pre-development studies on projects in their communities. We were very excited to see an increased interest in the program with an expansion of the eligibility area to include the northeast, northwest, and southwest quadrants of Rochester. The award winners for this year’s fall cycle are:

Changing of the Scenes Neighborhood Association (COTSNA) – Southwest

COTSNA will use the award to hire a landscape architect to enhance a vacant lot and create a place of historic reflection.

Coalition of Northeast Associations (CONEA) – Northeast

CONEA is seeking architectural assistance to explore the feasibility of updating and expanding their facilities. These improvements will allow them to expand their program and services to accommodate community meetings for block club, youth and senior organizations.

North Winton Village Association – Northeast

The North Winton Village Association is seeking architectural services to create conceptual façade designs for several commercial buildings along that corridor to be used to gain support and acquire funding for the improvements.

Congratulations to all the award winners and we look forward to working with you on these fantastic projects. We would also like to thank all of the applicants and encourage those organizations that were not awarded funding this round to reapply in the spring of 2014.
